Groundsperson w/CDL & PHC License ability – Wheeling, IL
An introductory-level position that involves being part of a team in assisting climbers, removing and chipping brush, and cleaning the service area after each job. Assists in all required ground duties to support the team in all job assignments directed by the crew leader. The groundsperson will use all appropriate personal safety protective equipment and adhere to all safety rules and regulations in tree felling. Helps to prep the work site for safety precautions by placement of cones and signs.
Requirements:
- Must be a team player and communicate effectively at all times
- Must be able to follow directions easily and complete the requests of the crew foreman
- Follow and abide by all safety rules and policies of The Care of Trees
- Ability to complete production work in a timely fashion
- Must be courteous and friendly if approached by property owners
- Participates regularly in all job site safety meetings
- Must be able to learn how to operate a chipper and all other large equipment safely
- Ability to learn how to use hand tools associated with arboricultural work
- Must have or obtain valid CDL license
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to successfully pass our safety test
- Learn and understand all dangers associated with electrical hazards
